About Àrd Veterinary
Tom is well situated in the Strathspey to offer mixed veterinary cover to the Scottish Highlands.
He provides an equipped vehicle for routine large animal work, which includes portable ultrasound, and has comprehensive VDS cover. The aim is to provide a quality and user friendly locum service to highland mixed practices.
With prior experience in large scale cattle and sheep systems and regular work in embryo transfer around the country, Tom is proficient in all aspects of daily veterinary farm work, with additional advanced bovine reproduction knowledge and techniques. He is also experienced in routine equine practice and is happy to help with small animal consultation when required.

Tom grew up on a sheep farm in mid-Wales, graduated from Edinburgh University in 2011 and has been in clinical practice ever since. He has spent equal time in New Zealand and the United Kingdom and now lives in Northern Scotland with his partner and two young children. His main interest lies in production animal health and he also has good competency in routine equine work. He is happy to offer support for the companion animal side of practice as well.
